DaPlug is made up of three components: the ring insert, lock collar and lock mechanism. The ring insert goes inside the lunette ring (from the bottom) and mates with the lock collar (from the top). The lock mechanism- a case-hardened 6-pin Pacific lock or 11-pin ASSA high-security lock- fits inside the cast iron lock collar, which protects the lock mechanism from tampering.

Most other trailer hitch locks of this type use an exposed padlock, which can easily be defeated by a pair of bolt cutters. Not so with DaPlug. By encasing the lock mechanism with the lock collar no parts of DaPlug are vulnerable to attack.

DaPlug is available in two sizes: the model 238 fits 2 3/8" lunette rings and the model 300 fits 3" lunette rings.
