The Origination of GusHill Trailer Locks and DaPosit Box Locks

Ken Gustafson, co-founder of GusHill Industries, had a trailer stolen in 1986. It was a common utility trailer that he had chained and padlocked to a large tree for security. The thief simply used bolt-cutters to cut the chain and drive off with Ken's trailer. The county sheriff later caught the thief and Ken got his trailer back. When he did, he decided he needed to find a way to keep what he worked hard to buy. A welder by trade, Ken set out to design his first trailer security device out of personal necessity. Twenty years later, and after extreme efforts that even encompassed a trip to Switzerland to talk to lock experts, Gus Hill Industries now offer four lines of the most impenetrable, high-quality trailer locks made (no lock can be said to be completely "impenetrable") so others can avoid the victimization that Ken experienced.

How Are Trailer Hitch Locks at GusHill Different From The Competition?

This mountable drop box accepts deposits of cash or checks or envelopes via an anti-fish deposit slot.

Deposits are made through the drop slot. Once a deposit has been made it can’t be retrieved unless the door to the safe is opened.

You cannot get into this safe without destroying the contents. It is virtually impossible to pry it open. The lock is surrounded by steel.

It can also be outside for collections and you don’t have to worry about it - no one is going to get into it.
